I live in Asheville, NC with my husband of over 20 years and our two dogs. I have lived in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and New Mexico. My arrival in Asheville occurred quite by happenstance. After celebrating my brother’s wedding here, my husband and I felt drawn to stay and we never looked back.

I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in the state of North Carolina. I became a social worker to support people at the end of their lives. At the beginning of my career, an opportunity to do that was not available, so for a long time I supported people in Recovery from substance abuse and mental health issues, and I then switched over to end-of-life care. Due to my eclectic path, I have acquired a knack for supporting people through the changes in their lives. This includes folks who may have high psychosocial needs, folks who may not be aware of available resources, and folks who may just need a person to support the changes that are happening in their lives due to their situation, or the changes they are making in their lives due to their own goals and wishes.
